Participants join our program in two ways:

  1. Through state referrals through the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission.
  2. Through private pay arrangements.

There is no waiting list for admission to Restoration Project. For information about fees, please contact Eloise Newell, the program director.

Students work at Restoration Project until they are ready to apply their renewed strengths to an occupation closer to their own goals and dreams. The average person works two days a week and stays 12 months, though the rehabilitation process is gradual and individual.

After six months, they share their schedule at Restoration Project with a series of part time volunteer or paid positions, leading to permanent employment. Examples of fields chosen are paralegal services, home health care, retail sales, construction, nursery and garden service, and counseling. Some return to school to develop their skills and interest further.
